managing clayart email subjects

Ann,

Reading the digest makes it a LOT easier to deal with thread drift
than getting and having to open all those mis-titled messages.

With the digest, you just open one email, skim for the subjects you
want, oops, thread drift, ignore, ignore, skim, read, skim, ignore.

Easy!

And when someone replies quoting the whole list, it gets REALLY easy
to skim through and ignore.

Yes, the digest, the best of all possible worlds. I think I'll keep it.

My pet peeve is when the subject line has nothing to do with the
content of the post. I removed Anti-intellectualism to fix it for
this discussion.

Dear Ann Baker,

Reading what you say <on the current week, find my thread and begin reading there. If I wish =
to respond I use the envelope icon that represents reply. This allows me =
3 options, reply to the list, to the original poster and to get a copy =
myself. That is how I "hit the reply button". I don't understand why =
that is a problem. >> causes me to believe we are discussing two =
systems.

I normally receive "Clayart Digest". In this mode, if I just make a =
selection from the body of the messages and hit the reply button it =
transfers the whole of the Digest into the "reply" window.

If Clayart Digest does not arrive I will go into "archives of =
Clayart@lsv....... Should I wish to reply to a post in the weekly list I =
download that individual message and go to the tool bar, select the =
reply icon, give my URL and password. Only my message is sent.

I hope this explanation clears the air.

Best regards,

Ivor
