Annette- If I were buying a portable gas raku kiln, of course I would get
ROCKY RAKU. Weighs 12 lbs, fires one pot in less than eight minuets but you
can do that all day long! Well designed and well proven.
You can review ROCKY at: www.R2D2u.com

Will be please any ?'s you have once you have read the FAQ's on the site!

Hallo everyone! I'm new to this group and would like to ask if anyone can
recommend a Gas Raku Kiln, I would like to purchase one, I checked into one from
Olympic and one from Ceramic Services. I already have a Electric Kiln which
I'll be using to bisque. I've never personally fired any Raku and have
many, many questions. The Raku Kiln from Ceramic Services weighs about 150 lb. and
the one from Olympic around 190 lb. however it say's that they are portable??
So-if you were buying a Gas Raku Kiln which one would you get?

Thank's in advance! Annette.

I would suggest you build one.
It will be lighter, more portable and you'll feel more a part of the
process.
There are several sites with instructions, also magazine articles.
I would then contact Marc Ward for your burner/safety/gas line.
