Question about John Britt's writing on the use of Lithium carb and Kaki/Tomato Red glaze recipes. In the quest to obtain an orange color from a Kaki recipe, John says, "For a greater assurance of orange, add 2.5% lithium carbonate." In his description of Lithium, he says that adding 1 or 2% can reduce the melting point of a glaze by one cone, yet there are no words in his writing about Kaki glazes about compensating for an addition of 2.5% of this very strong flux to a cone 10 Kaki recipe. Are the Kaki/Tomato Red recipes on page 74, excluding Bailey's Red, stiff enough to withstand the addition of 2.5% Lithium?
