Hi there! I'm about to get into firing my own Raku for the first time and
was wondering if it's ok to sell a piece that was Raku fired for more than the
same piece that wasn't, if I'm selling a bowl now for $30 then how much might
I ask for it if that same bowl was Raku fired? Thank's in advance! Annette

Annette, while I don't claim to fully understand the marketing
structure of pottery I have been selling my Raku pots and sculpture
fairly consistently. My Raku pieces tend to be more of the higher end
decorative varitey. If I were to do a pot by pot comparison I would say
they tend to be higher priced than my standard functional ware, but that
probably has more to do with the pieces themselves than the firing method.
What has worked for me is to find a point at which your pieces sell
consistently and are reflective of the market in your area.
Hope this helps
