Howdy,
I received a gorgeous little seed pod lidded pot a couple of years ago
at the clayart mug exchange. I have to publicly acknowledge the
surprising beauty of this seemingly plain little seed pot as I use it to
teach students at my high school and teaching clay workshops and art
methods classes. Everybody wants to steal the little seed pot from me as
they open it up and see the gold leaf interior that just sucks you in.
The Clayart mug exchange has been a tremendous boon to my students as
they have had the opportunity to rub shoulders with potters from all
over the world. The exchange and the camaraderie are only a small part
of the treasured experiences we all bring home from nceca.=20
The "extended family" that is Clayart is rather like that little lidded
seed pot I received from Treena. Seemingly a plain pot on the outside
but magical, fascinating, and mystical as it sucks you in with all the
hidden beauty and treasures inside.
Kudos to the girl with the gold leaf inside her seed pod pot. Thank you
for a real gem. Thank you all for Clayart.

Interesting, a "little seed pod lidded pot" . So what shape is it? Or
size? Is it like a plum stone or a whole pear? Surely not a poppy seed or
a bean pod? The most interesting seed I handle is a delphinium seed which
is vaugely triangular and quite craggy. But small.
