John Eden on fri 10 jan 97

Last year I was fortunate enough to be selected to attend, during the
Summer, the "International Workshop for the Ceramic Arts in Tokoname",
Japan. It was a terrific experience. Six weeks in Japan making pots,
firing wood kilns, meeting all kinds of wonderful potters, etc.. My host
families were absolutely marvelous and I made what I am sure will be
lifelong friends. The volunteers who organized and took care of the 14
participants from around the world were outstanding and made us all feel
very welcome.
Many of you may already know about "IWCAT", I know that there are
"clayarter's" who have participated in previous years. Some of you may even
have seen notices about IWCAT 97 that have been sent to various institutions
and groups, but for those of you who have not heard about this before I
would encourage you to look at IWCAT's home pages.
I am not sure which one is best to look at, try them both. The
addresses are as follows:-

Good luck if you apply. Cheers, John
