Call for Entries:
I am currently putting together an exhibition of working potters in PA, with an emphasis on those working in Centre and surrounding counties (Clinton, Cameron, Elk, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntington, Juniata, Mifflin, Snyder, Union, Lycoming) The exhibition will be held at The Creative Oasis 133 E Beaver Avenue State College PA during the month of July 2007. I chose July because it coincides with two major Arts Festivals in the Area.
The plan is to showcase working clay artists. I want to show a strong draw to the area for clay artists. It's my belief that we have as strong a clay tradition in central PA as they do in North Carolina. There is no fee, your work should be for sale, (40% commission) and you should have a bio, artists statement and promotional materials ready to include with your piece. I have room for approximately 35 pieces, with 10 spaces already filled. If you are interested in participating please contact me OFF LIST at charlesghughes@yahoo.com
Eligibility requirements : You must be a working potter, professional or semi-professional, you must include a bio and promotional materials, your work must be original and based in clay, it does NOT have to be functional. No commercial molds, kits will be accepted. You are responsible for shipping to and from and or dropping off and picking up the pieces.
I must have your application in hand by June 16th and accepted pieces delivered to The Creative Oasis by 6/29/2007
