I particularly enjoy this web site which is all about pots. However,
the colors alone are enough to keep any fanatic going back&forth while
moderating the list. Two for you approved....... one for me to look at Alex's
site once again.
I haven't looked at the whole site yet so I may be asking a question that
is answered elsewhere. In case not, what cone are these beautiful pots
fired to, A., IF you don't mind telling.
Lovely.

In the Mojave desert of California where it's now dark and all the dogs in
our area of the desert are yipping at something..... smokey smells from
the fires maybe? A coyote? Whatever, Mojo is heading out to tell them
to hush now......... funny thing is that they do hush after she's fussed
for a minute or two..........

Joyce-
We fire to cone 5 using Tuckers Smooth White stoneware. Wonderful mud.
Almost throws itself. Our glazes are based on a strontium frit. Makes
for nice tight glazes, incredible color response. We also down fire and
cool incredibly slowly. All done in L&L kilns.
To everyone else who emailed me privately off-list:
THANK YOU immensely for all of your insights and advice.
So many great ideas (and so little time here in the studio!)
At this point, I have tons of little corrections, editing ideas,
and lots of new technological ideas to try. My hat's off to everyone
who offered their experience and advice.
Thank you all.
