Ric: I follow your diary of life in Jindezhen with
interest. When you mention the lack of washing
machines and dryers do you mean in town or at the
Institute? This could well determine the colour and
the # of pairs of underwear i pack.
I have heard varying reports of people getting very
ill from the food and water and others that have had
no problems at all. Could you give me the low down on
the do's and don'ts? I could stand to loose another 10
lbs but I don't favour the severe trots dietary plan.
I understand I get Chinese cooking lessons so does
this mean the Institute is a communal kitchen or is it
cafeteria style?
What is the studio facility like? Is it full of high
energy makers? Is it multi cultural with all ceramics
majors hanging out together or is it cliqueish by
language? Do you get your own space?
Thanks for putting me in touch with my old student
David Irish. He is coming over for a visit with a
bottle of George Dickel bourbon so we'll have a good
chat and I can pick his brain.
Cya soon.
Tony
P.S I see you're a Red Green fan- keep your stick on
the ice!
