First of all, I'm new to the group, so please forgive me (and then set me s=
traight) if I'm sending this email incorrectly.=0A=0AI live in the U.S., an=
d on a recent trip to the UK, I found "Fired Up with Raku" by Irene Poulton=
, which lists glaze recipes with the following Frits:=0A=0A4064=0A4101=0A41=
08=0A4110=0A4112=0A4113=0A=0AI've seen some discussions that call for subst=
ituting the initial "4" in Australian frits with a "3" for US frits, but al=
so some conflicting info that says to substitute 4113 with 3124, for instan=
ce. Can anyone out there point me to a definitive source, or give me the U=
S equivalents for the frit numbers above?=0A=0AThanks much.=0AMichaela Popo=

I've just received this info. from a cousin who works with Frrro in
Victoria.
Cheers. Graeme.
The product numbering has changed a lot over the years and the
substitution of 4's for 3's etc is not valid.
Some of our frits do not have direct equivalents in the USA but I have
attempted here to give the best starting point.
4064 Lead bisilicate, very similar to 3403
4101 Fluorine bearing, high COE very similar to 5301
4108 Closest is 3124
4110 Very similar to 3110
4112 Synthetic collimating frit, don't know of a similar US frit, now
obsolete here
4113 No equivalent, but a harder version of 3124
Hope this is of assistance.
