CALL TO ARTISTS NCECA 2009 Clayart Show (CyberClay 2). A proposal is
being written to the NCECA Gallery Exhibit Board for our very own
CLAYART show at the 2009 Phoenix NCECA!
Before we are accepted and given venue as an exhibition, we must submit
a body of work in digital format to be approved. Considering we have
such a broad spectrum of Clayarters, the body of work will first be
judged by three jurors from our CLAYART community.
To enter you will need to send three good quality high resolution jpeg
(only) images on a CD of your work with your resume and artist statement
to:
Lori Leary
PO Box 1645
Kennesaw, Ga 30156
Digital images are strongly preferred, but if this is an issue, please
contact me at this email address: lleary at ptd dot net.
DEADLINE FOR SLIDES/CD's to be postmarked by midnight AUGUST 28, 2007.
Enclose a SASE with full postage due for the return of your slides
and/or CD. We are not responsible for entries being lost in the mail
so registered mail is advised.
The images will be judged first by our own CLAYART judges, then the
accepted body of work will be delivered in digital format with the show
proposal to NCECA before October 15th, 2007.
There is NO guarantee that this show will be accepted, however, if it
is, the artists accepted in the show will be able to show 3-4 pieces of
their work similar to the body of work in the slides that were
submitted. The artists will be responsible for shipping to and from the
show in Phoenix or they may deliver the work before NCECA 2009. All
accepted artists will be required to pay an entry fee of $25.00. Details
of this and the venue will be forthcoming. There is discussion of
printing and posters that will be announced later. We are currently
seeking corporate sponsors.
The deadline for the proposal for NCECA 2009 is late October 2007. These
dates
are set by the NCECA requirements. Please submit your images as soon as
possible.
By the way, Please put "Cyberclay 2009" in the subject heading of any
email correspondence for easier sorting.
Thanks,
Lori Leary
