Randy: The South Carolina potter was Sue Grier.
The tea bowl I bought was fired in an anagama.
I found that Sue Grier was an adjunct professor
at Clemson and has been involved with the
Carolina Foothills Artisan Center in Chesnee.
Another Google hit for her was an entry in
the 2004 Strictly Functional Pottery National:
