Marcia, go to the clay center in Kecskemet, near Budapest. It's just an
hour or so by train and it's pretty cool.

Thanks for the insider info on what to see in and near Calgary, Alberta! =
Sounds like plenty to keep me occupied.
From the conference in Calgary we're headed for a vacation in Europe (my =
first time). Our nephew is getting married in Chur, Switzerland, on =
Sept. 29. In addition to the wedding, there's an annual festival there =
that weekend dedicated to the music and dress of the 70s. It's called =
Schlagerparade Festival (translation: Hit Parade Festival?). I don't =
know if that can qualify as a traditional folk festival, but it should =
be interesting!
Anyway, our travels in Europe will likely include some time in Germany, =
Austria, Hungary (land of my ancestors), and northern Italy in addition =
to Switzerland. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to potters, =
potteries, galleries and other points of interest.

Hi Sooz,
Google `tourist` or `clay` or `potters` or `galleries` or `ceramics` then
the country.
You will be up all night for a week.
Lucky you!
