On the subject of heirloom veggies in cold climes, there is this
great outfit in Maine.
And the catalog is chock full of interesting tidbits for the gardener.

They specialize in serving coop ordering, but are fine with small
orders. I always thought
their bulbs and trees far superior to others in size and hardiness.
Talking about hardiness,
that is what this outfit is about: stuff that grows well in cold climes.
Best,
Eleanora
