I am inquiring about a PWM controller for the DC motor retailed with
the Shimpo Mini-Master potter's wheel.
On the side of this wheel below the OFF/ON switch is printed
"WARNING: Foot pedal must be fully depressed backwards before turning
on." This would place the 10K potentiometer in the wheel's slowest
position.
We had replaced a potentiometer whose terminals had twisted off
because of a loose cord.
The wheel was turned ON with the pedal fully FORWARD by mistake.
The wheel ran at high speed for a few seconds, then stopped.
The fuse did not blow, the pilot light stayed green.
Please, can you tell me what part of the pot./conroller is
compromised by turning the wheel on at full speed position.
I talked to Mr. Ericson , CEO, at Shimpo who did not know the answer.
Is a schematic and parts list of the PWM conntroller board for the
Shimpo Mini-Master wheel available for purchase.
Thanks.
