Hello claybuds!!
I just heard back from the people for the juried show i entered for XMas
(actually Dec 1st and 2nd) and they called to tell me i'm in!!
WOOHOO!!
I am so relieved! I've been on a roll for the past 2 weeks and running out
of space in the studio for drying and really glad to know its all good...
I know i should just use the first show as a test market to see how my
pieces will be received and not get my hopes up too high, but i can't help
it... As soon as the kiln is fired with my new glazes, i'll put some pics
of recent work up on photoshop and share what i'm doing...
It doesn't get any better than this feeling!
I can't wait... it'll be my first foray into the world as a potter...
This is way better than XMas morning... this is about the same great
feeling i get when i open the kiln after a successful firing...
Makes you want to do a Happy Dance or jump up and down, yelling "Woohoo!"
Ok, enough,.... gotta go, work to do , pieces to make... champagne to
chill...

Good luck! I hope it goes well for you. I am also entered into my
first ever juried show and holiday sale, taking place November 16 &
17. Nervous? YES! Excited? YES! Scared? Oh, heck YEAH. Can't wait. I
am spending every extra minute making pots and taking a week off in
October as well from my full-time job. I have no idea how much stuff
to make or how my work will be received, so I am just making as much
as I can between now and then. We shall see.
What are you doing for your display area as far as shelving and lighting?
Please post afterwards to let us know how it went, and I'll do the
