I might be moving to London very soon and wondered about graduate schools in
ceramics there. I am currently at a program at GSU so I would like to
transfer if possible. I would also like any information at all about
ceramics things over there (art centers etc...).

Thank You

Monica, Here are a couple of easy web searches you might check out.

The webcrawler is good because it gives one line listings. Quick &
easy.

c=wc_results

This a the Yahoo index listing.

You can change the key words and get lots of other info on museums. My
daugther's going over to Florence next year to study and we found a lot
of info this way.

Dear Monica,

One of the things you could do is getting hold of the magazine called
Ceramic Review. This is the no. 1 magazine on ceramics in Great Britain.
Through this magazine you will find many adresses that might be
helpfull. The adress for this magazine is:

21 Carnaby Street
London W1V 1PH
Great Britain

You could also contact The Craftsmen Potters Association. You can do
this through their Shop & Gallery. The adress is:

Contemporary Ceramics
Craft Potters Shop and Gallery
7 Marshall Street
London W1V 1LP
phone: 0171(this is London, your probably must
skip "0")-437 7605

Another way to go about this is contacting The Crafts Council. This is a
national institute on different crafts. It is mainly funded by the
government. They have a specialized library on crafts, education,
galleries etc. I found their staff to be most helpfull. The adress is:

Crafts Council
44-A Pentonville Road
Islington
London N1 9BY
Great Britain
phone 0171-278 7700

Please let me know when you do'nt get any results. I have been in London
many times and could therefore make some extra phonecalls for you.

Good luck!
Greetings from The Netherlands,
Gerlach Baas
