Hi Steve, The clay used on all the pieces at the Flickr site =

Standard 112 - light brown with manganese specks. The manganese specks =
are what you're seeing on the pumpkin pitcher. The only exception is =
the round pitcher. That was a white clay that I don't use anymore. =
I've found those glazes look good on every clay I've tried, including =
porcelain. I'd fire slightly cooler on the porcelain, though. I also =
should say that I don't use the VC glazes as liners for mugs or vases or =
teapots as I've found that the bottoms get slightly damp with liquid =
standing in them for extended periods. It's fine for the insides of =
bowls, however. It's a touchy damn glaze, but so beautiful and popular =
that I continue to use it.
