My EZ-up is up, ready and waiting, on the Lourdes College campus, for
the Sylvania Art Fair tomorrow.

I had studied the clayart archives for ideas about displays, for how to
weigh the legs (ez up, ez down) -- how to engage the customer, how to
make pedestals, and what Joyce learned in her first show. I read
arguments for and against this approach and that, all backed with
information and anecdotes... and then made my own decisions based on the
experience of others. What a deal!

Some of my glazes are from the archives, too. The clayart archives are a
gold mine of information... I don't know what I would do without them.

It looks like a good set-up. It's the 50th anniversary of a show that
had become a bit "krafty" until this year they moved to a new venue and
ratcheted up the jurying standards. I'm next door to a fused glass
artist and two doors down from one of those
stop-in-and-make-supper-on-your-way-home places (apparently they will be
handing out free tortellini. I have no idea who will be on my right,
yet.

Off to make signs. I have to be up bright and early. I am feeling lucky;
the weather looks sunny and 70s. And Lois the Salt Licorice Fairy sent
me a care package today ;0) Thanks, Lo. I am hunting down your email
addy to write you off list.

Yours
Kelly in Ohio
