Hi Jason,
Loved that green. Thanks for sharing it. Also loved the other teapots. Great
glazes. May I ask you if the black and white teapot set and the gold one are
with glazes are that are either in our archives or from a book or magazine, or
if they are your very own. If they are sharable, could you possibly tell us
which black, white, and gold you used.
Thanks again.
Veena
Here's a picture of a teapot using this glaze:

If this URL breaks, just go to my home page and browse the gallery for 'satin
green' pieces.

Hi Veena,
The black and white are from Mastering Cone 6 Glazes - I use Glossy Base 2 which
is the Licorice black, and zircopax to give the white.
The 'satin gold' was a happy surprise from systematic testing. The VC Satin
Matte is such an interesting base that I tried it with all colorants - including
nickel which I don't usually bother with. The gold is my satin base with 2%
nickel oxide instead of the copper carbonate. I called it gold because I already
have a real 'marigold' yellow using a Mason stain, and sometimes it does give an
almost metallic gold shine.
cheers,
Jason
