Hi Ingleborg,
I took richard notkin's workshop last year and learned from him the
"80 cubic inch" rule. Measure your space -- as you have done -- and
determine the number of cubic inches -- in your case 2178. Divide by
80. You get 27.2 That means you need 27.2 Quarts of water and a
corresponding amount of plaster. That's a lot of plaster to mix in
one batch. According to Richard's chart, it's 23 lbs for every 8
quarts, so it looks like you would need about 78 pls of plaster.
That would be hard to mix properly in one batch, esp wihtout help.
Do you really need the 2 inches? If you are making a press mold, can
you go with 1.5? That might help.

Can someone please tell me how to calculate the quantity of plaster
needed
to fill a 33" x33" x2"
space i.e. how many pounds of plaster do I need to fill this space?
