Here's a turn-key studio set up! Due to an auto accident, I have not
worked with clay since 2001. I have moved 4 times since then, dragging
everything with me, and am preparing to move again.

This Skutt is a 12-sided production workhorse. Designed to meet the
intense demands of high volume production, the model 1227 has earned the
respect of potters, sculptors, tile makers, schools, and slip casters
around the world. The 1227's standard 3" firebrick, coupled with the
highest quality balanced elements, allow the 1227 to reach cone 8
temperatures efficiently and consistently, firing after firing. 1227-240:
28.13" diameter, 9.9 cubic feet, Cone 8. Depth 27" 9.9 Cu Ft. 400 lbs
(kiln new = $2300)

The Brent CXC wheel is on legs and has a splashpan, and about 5 or 6 bats.
I believe these sell new for anywhere from $750 to $1200. It has not seen
much use.

There are 8 books on everything from throwing on the wheel to glazing and
20 copies of Pottery Making Illustrated, a very informative magazine.
(publications new = $300)

The Giffin Grip is an invaluable trimming chuck for leather-hard or bisque
thrown pottery. Designed for pottery trimming, it functions equally well
for waxing the foot and banding with oxides for glazing. The Giffin Grip
trimming chuck cuts trimming time in half and holds shapes that might
otherwise have been left untrimmed. It is a simple, direct solution to an
age old problem in making pottery. (new = $175)

Included are 4 half-shelves, 1" and 10" shelf supports, a setup for firing
beads, kiln wash, 10 boxes of firing cones from 03 to 7 and 6 kiln peep
covers. Also included are calipers, throwing sticks, sponges, scrapers,
various cutters, triming tools, texture tools, more tools than I can list!
There are also a dozen large design stamps, as well as over 50 positive
and negative stamps, a lot of them original designs. (new = @ $325)

There are also over 185 jars of Mayco and Duncan glazes and stains, from 1
oz to 1 pint, only about 20 of which have been used. There are also bags
and jars full of powdered colorants and such, including a jar of wax
resist. (new = @ $500)

Each time I move, the kiln bricks get a little more damaged, and now the
coils are stretched and broken, and the kiln sitter needs a couple of
minor parts. New parts for the sitter and new coils should run about $100,
the bricks don't look great but don't need replacing.

If you bought this all new, it would total about $4500. Knowing the kiln
needs some work (really nothing more than normal upkeep), and some of the
glazes are partially used, so on and so forth, it would be a deal at half
the price. However, each time I look at this stuff, I'm reminded of how
that car accident changed my life. This, and the fact I'm moving to
Arizona next year, has me offering all of the items listed above (and
more) for the VERY low price of $2000.

E-mail your questions and I'll answer as best I can, but I will not take
the time to list each glaze by name. Sorry! This is all to be sold as a
single lot. I can hold it for a couple of months for pick-up with
confirmed payment (Paypal, cashier's check, personal check - so long as
payment clears before pick up) PICK UP ONLY PLEASE. (River Falls, WI ,14
mi S. of Hudson, across the river from the Twin Cities)
