I really like your idea kelly. IT would be so great if all the
recipes that are floating around out there were in one place and
people could google for an ingredient. Let's see all the variations
of barium glazes floating around in the universe... You might be able
to do that a bit by searching in the archives for an ingredient and
reading the posts. You might want to try a search for the ingredient
and the word glaze or recipe (e.g., barium and recipe or barium and
glaze) and click the "title or body" box. You'll probably have to do
some serious wading, but you will find things. Also if you're just
getting back to mixing glazes and not used to cone 6 HIGHLY recommend
Ron and John's book Mastering Cone 6 glazes (no affiliation) as would
most on this list i think. It's a great starting point.

Thanks Nancy! I'm so glad I tacked that little dream on the end of my
original post. I appreciate your search suggestion too. I am
intrigued as well by the popularity of Cone 6 glazes, as most of my
experience has been with either earthenware or Cone 9. Is cone 6 also
called midfire? I'll have to check out the temps on my clay too I
guess.

Ok, this is one of the things that drives me nuts with the list. This is
a post that is not connected to the original post in anyway, does not have
any of the original message in it and when I do a search on "Glaze Google"
I only come up with one other post that has the exact same state of being
so it ends up being a deadend and something that I am interested in just
dies on the vine.
