Experiment no further Clayarters! Laser Toner decals work greatif you use
The following Printers:
ALL HP BLACK AND WHITE LASER MACHINES (NO COLOR!!)
ALL CANON BLACK AND WHITE copy machines.
If the machine has the capability to do color of any type then it WILL NOT
WORK
and also make sure to use authentic HP or Canon refills.
Mayco Creative Images has a kit that is easy to use and no fail. The kit
comes with cone 06 white glaze that works great for the process or you can
buy the refill kit which has just the paper and instructions.
You use it over a preglazed and fired piece.
If you use it over clear glaze then you need to fire it really low...I use
cone 014 over cone 06 clear. If you stick to cone 06 white Mayco glaze you
can fire the decal all the way up to cone 06 (although cone 07-011) is
ideal.
I also have fantastic luck using this system on preglazed (storebought)
white porcelain. (not ceramic) I just pick up any old cheap piece from
Target or Marshalls, put ont the decal and fire it to cone 02.. It is
awesome.
It also works on glass. Just pop it on and fire it to a slump temp.
(1285F I think)

You can find used HP laser printers on eBay. Specify sellers
within a 50 mile radius so you can pick it up yourself. I
bought a LaserJet 4L for $16, which came with a cartridge.

Here is the HP website that tells the contents of all of their toner and
ink cartridges. Just click on the type of printer and check out the
ingredients.
Make sure your cartridge has at least 30% IRON OXIDE. 40-50% is best.
