City Arts Center presents Tara Dawley | October 24th | 9-4 pm
Tara Dawley is an accomplished potter working out of Red Star Studios
in Kansas City, Missouri. She produces high-fired functional
ceramics. Wheel-thrown, altered and carved, her work speaks with an
organic voice stemming from early years spent immersed in the
exploration of southern Missouri's woods and streams.
Dawley teaches pottery and enjoys getting beginners off to a good
start by emphasizing basic throwing skills. She applies food safe
glazes to stoneware and porcelain pieces that allow it to be used in
the oven or microwave and is also dish washer safe.
