All Day HANDS-ON Workshop on Saturday & Sunday, April 12 & 13, 2008
Australian potter Graham Hay will be teaching a hands-on paperclay
workshop this April at the Orange Art Center in Pepper Pike, OH (a
suburb of Cleveland). During his only Ohio appearance, Graham will be
giving a FREE public lecture on his work and the paperclay process.
Saturday & Sunday, in his hands-on workshop, he will offer an
informative, practical introduction to making, creating and firing
paperclay . Be inspired by the latest paperclay work from around the
world. The two-day workshop will include short slideshows, short
demonstrations and plenty of practical individual assistance and
"playtime" with paperclay. Radical techniques include: Dry-dry,
dry-plastic and wet-dry joins, quick kiln firing, making
paperclay-board, paperclay-string and
paperclay-spaghetti. This workshop will be educational and exciting
for the beginner and professional alike.
Early sign-up cost $180, after January 20, $210.

One bag of 22-pound clay is included. Extra clay may be pre-ordered at
$20 per 25-pound bag, when signing up for the workshop.

I attended a Graham Hay workshop in Northern California earlier this year. The workshop was great. Graham is great. He is a great resource when it comes to paperclay. I predict that you will learn a great deal and have fun, too.
