Tony,
I finally got the time to go through all your entries on your China Blog. =
What wonderful pictures and writing! You've the makings of a good book her=
e, one I would gladly buy. Your explanations of pottery, culture, and Life=
in emerging China are excellent insights into this nation. As always, peo=
ple are just about the same everywhere. You find the really good ones, and=
the true booger-heads pop up now and again to make you appreciate the good=
ones.
I like the pictures. They give a whole new meaning to "skill." The size o=
f some of those pots and the speed with which they are built is nothing sho=
rt of amazing! Your explanations of the techniques and the accompanying pi=
ctures go a long way for my education. "Go big or go home," indeed!
Not just the pottery, either. Bricks, tiles, roof tiles, table tops, sagga=
rs, and all the rest of the stuff we Americans take for granted are extreme=
ly interesting. This has to be the experience of a life time for you. I a=
m so glad you got the opportunity to go.
PLEASE keep up the good work on the blog. I'll do my best to get back to i=
t more regularly.

If you want to see them in action in great piles, go to a high end garden center.
our local nursery has a pot fetish and it is all from china. I see those stacks in
the blog and then there they were in the flesh.
Good to go see them for scale.
