slip for bisque ^10?

hello all....

a friend is looking for a slip recipe to use on bisque at cone 10......
i believe he has in mind to use it for slip trailing and such.....

There are several in John Conrad's Ceramic Formulas The Complete Compedium
here's one that I haven't tested Conrad calls it E1 White Engobe applied to
wet clay and run's ^04-11. He notes that it has good coverage and can be
applied thick.

Same Clay Body 50
Potash Feldspar 20
Silica 20
Zircopax 5
Borax 5

I got this recipe from Scott Barnim years ago.....


25 Ball Clay
25 EPK
20 Spar (I've used G-200 and Custer)
30 Flint

For a pure white, add 5-10% zircopax (depends on how
thickly you intend to apply).

OR, you can seive the sludge from your bucket and add zircopax.
