Thanks for all the advice that was given to me in this process. Built a 40 cu ft Bourry box kiln with a 15' masonry chimney. I have sidestoke ports and 3 good sized mouse holes (mice holes?). The roof and one side have extra insulation and 20" wide flashing to hold heat- it's neater now. Loading for the first firing starts the day after Thanksgiving.
