Taylor,
Pioneer Pottery is one I've been going back to regularly for about 30
years. To me, that's a good measure of a book's worth, if it bears
revisiting.

Howdy doodies every bodies,
Okay, this year my sis-in-law has me for a present so I'm having her
call the Potters Shop for a book. Alas, I'm familiar (I think) with so
many books that I can't give her a title. One book on my maybe list is
a book that I'm not familar with (I don't think) titled _Ceramic
Form;..._ by Lane. What's the word from the Ram's Head Pub on this
book?
I'm obsessed with form, weak on glazes/decoration, and in love with
European pots.
My list:
Pioneer Pottery - Cardew
Revealing Glazes - Currie
Ceramic Form... - Lane
Country Pottery - McGarva
Mama Lili, what is that book that no electric firing potter should be
without? I forgot.
kisses

Taylor,
In my opinion, any book by Peter Lane is a visual feast. And I like this one.

Howdy doodies every bodies,
Okay, this year my sis-in-law has me for a present so I'm having her
call the Potters Shop for a book. Alas, I'm familiar (I think) with so
many books that I can't give her a title. One book on my maybe list is
a book that I'm not familar with (I don't think) titled _Ceramic
Form;..._ by Lane. What's the word from the Ram's Head Pub on this
book?

Lane's book is very useful, and pretty
informative. Well presented; his books
always are.
