Maybe it was because ClayArt was "off", but it is amazing no one yet has
gotten out the champagne flutes to toast Bill's PMI article on Cone 6
Crystal glazes in Pottery Making Illustrated, Sept/Oct 2007, Volume 10, #5,
p31-34. (This detailed info is for those who do not subscribe to PMI
and need to ask their Public Library for the article.)

Congrats Bill --gorgeous stuff--toasting you in our best crystal!

Thank you Lili, I appreciate you support.

Couple things:

Funny how the article comes out this fall as I just completed two semester
long courses in crystalline glazes with my community college students. Lots
of testing, experimenting and learning.

Had a solo show of my crystalline glazed pottery during November at a local
arts center. Installed 120 pots, sold almost 100 of them!

I'll bring some of my work to NCECA.

Bill

I'll drink to that!

Although I still have not actually tried crystalline glazes, the subject
fascinates me -- so much so that I have bought the frit Bill recommended
(3110?) and will soon give it a try.

Very good article, Bill. Well written and absolutely packed with real
beef. Silence from this end in no way suggests lack of interest.
