Hi everyone,
Just because I have stirred the pot a bit in the past week, and have gotten
a lot of email traffic, I feel I must waste a bit of bandwidth and tell you
that my seven year old computer is going in for servicing tomorrow am, and I
will be without for several days. If there is something that can't wait,
well, I don't know what to tell you!

Richard,

If you have a 7 year old computer that you are going to take in for
repair, you would be money ahead to abandon the effort, and use it as a
boat anchor the next time you are in your outboard to go fishing. (I'm
just joking for course)

Computer technology is changing so fast that it is difficult to keep up
- both in learning the software and the many ways to use a computer,

And,

In the hardware that is available.

Truly, computers that old are not worth the effort.
