Australian potter Graham Hay will be teaching a hands-on paperclay
workshop this April at the Orange Art Center, Pepper Pike, Ohio
(suburb of Cleveland). During his only Ohio appearance, Graham will
be giving a FREE public lecture on his work and the paperclay process.
Saturday & Sunday Graham will offer an informative, practical
introduction to making, creating and firing paperclay in his hands-on
workshop. Be inspired by the latest paperclay work from around the
world. The two-day workshop will include short slideshows, short
demonstrations and plenty of practical individual assistance and
"playtime" with paperclay. Radical techniques include: Dry-dry,
dry-plastic and wet-dry joins, quick kiln firing, making
paperclay-board, paperclay-string and
paperclay-spaghetti. This workshop will be educational and exciting
for the beginner and professional alike.
Early sign-up cost $180, after January 20, $210. SPACE IS LIMITED to
about 15, PLEASE SIGN-UP EARLY.
One bag of 25-pound clay is included. Extra clay may be pre-ordered at
$20 per 25-pound bag, when signing up for the workshop.
