Hay Crew,
Check, check 1 2 1 2 check 1 2... So I asked one of
my Co-managers what do they call it in business when
you get an idea for a product, run it through design
and development, make some samples, and make a sale
with in about 3 months? After a slight snicker at the
fact the sale was only $20 he said, "A Prototype!" The
sale was within the 3 foot rule... wasn't in the house
more than 24 hours...

Then this Etsy thing came up and I realized I
probably shouldn't try to sell them there because I
didn't make them by my bare hands, so to speak, but as
Lee suggested on "that other list", present them as
"Art" elsewhere. That would imply some sort of limit
to an addition I suppose... What would be a good cut
off quantity for a mass made piece to still be
considered "Art"? One thing about the process is,
although durable, the surface can be scratched with
the tip of a knife so I could sign them like an art
piece and make it so... cause I'm da artiest! I
suppose I really shouldn't give a poop as long as they
sell, eh? For a decent couple grand investment I could
get the equipment to do these myself but so far Dart
is the only other who wants one. Really strange that
Fotki is now bata testing cups and T-shirts but I
don't know if I can set custom prices. Don't know what
good that will do, still can't sell a regular picture
through them let alone belt buckles and baseball caps,
but maybe folks would like carrying a cool picture
around with coffee, or tea, or beer and V-8 inside. I
might have to rethink shipping cost and make these
pieces $25 within the lower 48.
I shot these testing the cube I got from W*M and
think most of the color came good except one where the
red of my skin is sort of orange. Along the right of
each shot is some Exif info and I think the light was
through the windows from North and North West. I like
shooting without a flash as much as possible. Hope ya
get some food for thought and don't kick me out cause
I'm goin factory but I'm just tryin to make an honest
dollar and I hate doin meth so why would I want to
make that crap... Rick has a couple old bath tubes
behind the shop, I can use one tub to make clay and
the other for enough beer to get a crew up here to
help finish this darn kiln project so I can get on
with my life and maybe finish my degree. I probably
gotta start all over again cause my credits are too
old. I sort of regret not finishing college and making
that extra million a degree is supposed to bring, but
hell, I'm still working on getting back that first
million I drank up when I was a kid so you can see why
I say thank god I don't need a drink right now. Enjoy
the coming year and stay in there, eh!
