I have put a Randall motorized kick wheel in VG mechanical condition on
Ebay. Great bearings, tractor seat, fully functional, needs some cosmetic
cleanum. You can search for Kick Pottery wheel and you will find it.
Location is in Western CT - of course, pickup is necessary.
Secondly, I am in the DC area and am wondering if anyone has a studio they
share or would like to share with a highly competent mechanical, tech type
of potter. I can fix and improve things and am profiscient with most kiln
techniques etc. I have built kilns and furnaces for glass blowing and
have a few good connections and lots of ingenuity. Looking to share
expenses as I also work full time and don't have much time to work for my
keep. garage, barn, warehouse, carriage house - within 20 miles of DC
would be best - I am in Silver Spring MD, and Gaithersburg. I have my own
wheel, but no other equipment presently other than hand tools.
I need a small space - 8x10 will suffice, needn't be heated, though that'd
be nice...
See my work at www.a-francis.net.
Thanks!

Hi Ruth,
Great to hear from you! I envy your time in PA with the wood kiln! I fired
in an anagama at Kent State University, but not since.
I am very interested in meeting you and your situation - but I have an
extremely busy week this week. I'll give you a call later in the week and
maybe we can set a time up early next week to meet.
Thanks for the response!

That works out for me... I need to go to SC later this week to visit
my mother and will be back sometime this weekend.
I have to return to Belgium next week (Tuesday probably) to sort some
things out. I still have studio stuff there that will be shipped soon.
If we can't meet beforehand, I'll be in Europe a couple of weeks and
we can meet when I return.
