Fist of all, to be pedantic, I am talking light honey. Because buckwheat
honey color is easy enough to get.

That gorgeous pale golden honey color went out with lead, and many have
tried to find it by other means. A few years ago a Kate Johnson was
interested in a low fired one, which aroused my curiosity...Anyway--close
but no cigar.

I found two "acceptables". 1. Adding to the glaze a tidge of rutile, or of
one of the several ceramic stains in that range of shades. 2. Using some
rutile or stain in originally white slip under the transparent, maybe yes,
maybe no, combined with 1. Try with several different transparent...

Acceptable? Sorta. Satisfactory? No.
