one of the best i have found, ever....is
itc soaked kaowool.
the theory...it does not pack into a lump and separate
from the crack. (as patch dries, it shrinks..fire it three times
and it falls out.
kaowool moves with the hot and cold expansion of the kiln.
just take some kaowool and fluff it, put it in a small plate and
add a few tablespoons of itc100. wet the crack, push in the
wet kaowool
let it dry. fire.
works like a dream in electric kilns.
and those big cracks in a fuel kiln seal right up. and, become a
part of the kiln.
