Alumina Hydrate is mixed with Elmer's glue...to a thick consistency...and then
used to attach the pot to it's pedestal base...which is then placed into a
small "catch" bowl for the glaze firing. The pot and the pedestal must have a
good fit or the glaze will run between them during the firing and you will not
be able to separate the two pieces after they cool.
