One interesting fact about Copper and some Invertebrate species. They =
have blood circulating as do we Vertebrates. But where we have Iron as =
an essential element for the conveyance of Oxygen to promote our =
metabolic functions they substitute Copper as the conveyer of Oxygen. =
The name of the protein is Haemocyanin. Seems to be blue not red !
