Dan..
How about you use a slab of clay
Perhaps about 1/4 inch thick and
wrap it around a dowel of wood...
Then cut the tubes into 4 inch tall cylinders...
Self standing test tiles...
The diameter you can vary with the
Dowel...
Sort of hand made extrusions...low tech
With is best....
You can dip the tile into small cups of glaze...
I use specimen cups...
As I glaze I hold the tile so the glaze
Runs to the end....so on the top surface
I get the glaze in a thick version...
Label the tile at the bottom surface
With an oxide pencil...
Perhaps devise a code...
Place a hold somewhere when
Making and you can string them up...
