Hi all,
There are other talcs besides the Texas talcs that do not have the abestos
type fibers such as Montana talc. That said, the best replacement for the
New York talc is the Texas talc. Pioneer talc 2882 from the American Talc
Co. can be used as a direct replacement for the Nytal 100 from Vanderbilt in
almost all cases. The people who make casting slips might have to adjust
their formulas to a small degree.
