Dear Clayarters,
Hey any one out there ever use something called a disc plate holder to hang clay pieces on the wall? I have just recently finished 10 large wall murals made up of lots of pieces. I attached these disc plate holders and they have been helpful for the practical purpose of hanging the pieces for photographs and composition concerns but I do not think that they are strong enough, besides being quite ugly for the market place.. I was thinking of adhering a piece of linen larger than the disc. Does anyone have any suggestions for the kind of glue that I should use? The pieces are not functional so I do not think they will be washed but one never knows. A glue that can resist water and that will last. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of basic white glue... and wetting the linen so it adheres well.
Thanks friends!
P.S.
hey this year is my first nceca after 25 as a ceramist!!! can`t wait!! I have been reading about the shuttle bus tickets and the suggestion that I buy one before hand. Do they run out? and is buying two too much for the first day? Can I fit in two shuttle bus routes in one day?

The 2-part epoxy called PC7 is an amazing 'glue'. It smells like that block
of pink popcorn we got as kids, as opposed to some gnarly solvent fume, and
sticks many many things together like clay, glass, wood, frames, etc. there
are 2 versions, one called PC7 (dark grey color) which I have used to great
success on sculptures/pots broken by overenthusastic apppreciators. Then I
have heard about PC11 (marine version--supposedly this one cures even
underwater) and you can fix your yacht--just in case you have one. Or it
might also work for a beautiful old vase with a crack. CacaPasa.
Cheers, kjirsti
