Hello All,
Desperation drives me out of my comfort zone of lurking. Has anyone
had trouble with their Digital Electric Olympic Kilns? Especially
reaching and maintaining higher temps? Around Cone 6-7?
Please reply to me off list. I am not interested in bashing anybody.
I just want to research with some folks who have dealt with these
same problems. Isn't that what this forum is also for? The folks at
Olympic have been helpful but the problem is not solved yet. Anyone
who's had this problem, please reply.
Yes, I've checked the archives.
Yes, I've worked extensively with the company.
Yes, I've had electricians out and beefed up my AMPs and Watts.
Desperate and looking at BIG shows coming up....

Pam,
I am sorry that you are having a problem with your kiln. I know that your
kiln is an older unit, so I am not sure what has been done to the kiln over
the years. I will be happy to help you with the problem, but I do need more
information. I also am a little confused about how your electrician was
able to "boost the amps and watts" on the kiln. The only ways to do that
is to increase the voltage of the kiln or to change the elements to a lower
resistance. Have either of these been done? Please feel free to call me at
770-967-4009 and I will try to help you out.
