Hey y'all,

I get to go to the Sandi Pierantozzi workshop the weekend of March 1.
My flight home doesn't leave Allentown until Monday night at 7-
something, so I'll have all day for exploring. Anybody here living in
the area? I can't even find an active Allentown PA chamber of
commerce type website (it's parked at GoDaddy for free, it says).
Suggestions of anything not to miss (if there IS anything - Billy
Joel's song doesn't give me much hope...) quite welcome. ;)

I used to live right near Allentown. Not much there. The Lehigh Valley Mall has expanded, if you want to eat and shop. But check out the Baum School of Art if you have the time. My pottery teacher, Renzo Faggioli has classes there. He is truly a master. They also have a student gallery. And the school is right across the street from the Allentown Art Museum.

Enjoy your trip!

Stephanie

Hi L,

I do not know much about Allentown but my studio is about 45 minutes away. I am in Frenchtown, NJ. You are more than welcome to kill some time here. There are some nice little river towns along the Delaware. It is beautiful country.

stop by if you can,

john
