Marion,
Thanks for sharing a wonderful story of committment to art and family. Now,
what is it you are doing to your studio floor? I am converting the garage
to my studio (a first for me). It has a concrete floor but I'd like to do
something to make it at once functional but also attractive. A teacher I
have at the rec ctr is using vinyl. Is there attractive,
functional-for-studio-purposes vinyl, I wonder? I am new to clay though I
have explored various arts all my life. I have kids at home (I'm 43), and
have the opportunity to work at my art part time, for which in the past I
have rarely settled enough to do in a committed fashion. Now it's simply a
matter of juggling priorities, time and money management, which are not my
strengths. But atleast I have my priorities straight and am leading a more
authentic life for it, at least I am pointed that way more so than before.
Anyway, your story was really magical, like life on earth should be!

PS. I have to admit, these sharings are starting to rouse the writer in me
who would like to research this topic more. So I hope the discussion and
the stories continue.

Good luck,
