Gary, when I opened a shop back in 2001, it was located in an old gas =
station with an apartment attached on back. We literally scraped the =
cigarette gunk off the windows with razor blades. Glad you've quit!!!

Hay Crew,

There's another snow day for ya. I had to call in a
severe weather day off, might have gotten there but I
sure as hell wasn't gonna walk home from US2 at 11 at
night in 7" of fresh snow so I stayed home and did
whatever seemed natural. Well I wanted a good shot of
the snow on the van so I spent two hours cleaning most
all the North window of old bug poop and last years
tobacco smoke. Gees, hard to believe I ain't had a fag
in almost a year. So now I get most of the light and
got some footage of trimming for a test on exposures.
However a while back I had to have a go at throwing to
see if I could get anything worth trimming. Seems I
didn't do too badly first time out of the shoot in
years but fortunately the camera found it's own cut
off point and if a beginner can get to that point 20
times in a row they should have the basics down pretty
good to begin finding out how to change the direction
of the clay. For the time being here is sort of how I
begin...

Some of us they say are fire bugs and as I recall my
childhood days playing with an outside chimney grill
my folks put on the side of our house in Garden City,
Mi. in the 1940's-50's. I'd get that chimney justa
throbbin. So sooner or later I gotta burn something
and if I can add something made of clay to the mix so
much the better. Seeing how people were complaining
about how nasty my pocket kiseru was tasting I decided
to burn it out and re-fire it in my buddies "Box
Stove" and when that went well I took over a piece of
green clay to see if I had my "nudge" back for slowly
put it into the coals and it didn't blow up. Something
else in this piece is I added stills to the end of a
windows movie maker project making a slideshow after
the movie. Next I guess would be to add text or audio
eh???

Stay tuned, coming soon the scratching in of Lilly
pads and cat tails for the Asylum Lake Pots so stay in
there eh!
