slumping slabs

Dear Tom,
I fire my raku slabs vertical in an electric. I have been using paper
clay.
I cushion them on the shelf with a bit of fiber. I also lean them
against stacked shelves in the center of my kiln
cushioning again with fiber.
I stack two at a time with fiber spacers ib between. My largest slabs
are about 25 x 20-22.
I have a big oval kiln. From the smaller ends of the kiln I stack
against the edge of insulating bricks as opposed to the stacked shelves.
If they still slump, make them thicker. I support the slab about 2/3s
up the slab against the shelf.
