I have been successfully experimenting with getting both text and images =
onto my clay imbedding them onto either leatherhard or bisque using =
underglazes with silkscreens which I make myself. I then either fire to =
bisque (or when using screens on bisque pieces), then dip into clear =
glaze for cone 5/6 firing. I recently made 50 kitty banks for an =
organization hoping to raise $$ to capture and neuter feral cat =
populations. I have also given a class on creating silkscreens and =
using on clay. Some of my results from these experiments can be seen on =
my blog:

I plan to explore this process even further using text and images now =
that the kitty bank project has been completed. =20
