I sent this earlier this week, but with the big spamattack it never appeared
on Clayart.
Local potter Scott McRoberts is relocating from Watertown, Tennessee to Hot
Springs, Arkansas and is selling his home and studio. Included is an
1800-square-foot house, a 1000-square-foot studio, all located on a 1/2-acre
lot in town with a fenced yard. The studio includes two downdraft gas kilns
of about 50 cubic feet stacking space each, lots of built-in shelves and
tables, a super-oversized wash sink, a spray booth, and a concrete floor
with French drain around the perimeter so you can hose down the floor.
Watertown is about 35 miles east of Nashville. It is a charming rural town
that wants to become more of an artist's community, and is very supportive
of artists and home studios. The sale price for the whole works will be
about $130K. I have not seen the place, so I cannot tell you anything more.
