Jim, mine is only about a cubic meter. It is the only kiln I have
owned and operated for 8 years.
Smaller ones might be fun for recreation, but they tend to be
too short to get much effect from the ash. The wood's flame is the
longest of the fueled kilns.
One alternative is what I would like to experiment with,
which is similar to EP's or one of my fireboxes and the pots go under
the stoke grates. With experiements in the fireboxes of my kiln, I
see some possibilities to make unglaze ware in a very small kiln. But
you have to bury the pots in coals.
